It's way more comfortable than I thought. It's not cushy but not hard. I love the high back for support. Was replacing a barrel chair in our living room. This is a little smaller profile, which takes me a bit to get used to and I struggled with color. I ended up getting the faded out leather look, even though we'd had the dark brown leather before. Still getting used to that as well, changing to a bit lighter palette in the living room so I thought it would transition better. I like the faded out, not sure I love it. It's okay, but again, I kind of knew it would be a change for me and struggled with the color decision, so it's probably more me than the chair.
